Lobster in Puerto Nuevo

Puerto Nuevo is a small fishing village located 10 minutes south of Rosarito and 50 minutes from San Diego. Puerto Nuevo is known for its Lobster, but not just any lobster; Puerto Nuevo Lobster. Puerto Nuevo Lobster is served pan fried and served with steaming bowls of rice, beans, and fresh hand made tortillas. "Puerto Nuevo style” Lobster is now a world-famous synonym for the exquisite lobster offered in local restaurants, around the world. Lobster is the talk of the town. There are more than 30 restaurants all serving Puerto Nuevo Lobsters. Some of the restaurants look run down, however those are usually the best places to get lobsters. If you judge the restaurants by looks alone you will probably miss out. Locally known as the "Lobster Village". Puerto Nuevo Mexico is a great little village with plenty of little shops and arts and crafts stores. Once lobster season is on (October thru March), Puerto Nuevo celebrates its annual Beer and Lobster Festival and the Steak & Lobster Fest. Those lively, not-to-be-missed events will take place on Avenida Rentería, (Puerto Nuevo's main street) which will be shut down to traffic for the day.
